Cost: $15 Million
Duration: 2015-2016
Location: Houston, TX
Client: Downtown Redevelopment Authority/City of Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 3

Our streetscape project included a two-phase 100,000 square foot sidewalk expansion, underground utility improvements, enhanced lighting and concrete roadways for Dallas Street. This project took place between Milam Street and Crawford Street in the Houston Downtown District.

Phase 1 of our job included 2,300 LF of deep storm sewer line and 3,000 LF of water line to support increased growth. Phase 2 covered full demolition of the existing roadway and sidewalks, followed by replacement by concrete pavement, sidewalks with landscape and signature lighting.

As a result of this project, a pedestrian-friendly experience has become a reality for Houston’s new retail and dining district. We were able to complete this project on-schedule, finishing prior to the NCAA Final Four games hosted in downtown Houston in 2016.
