Type of Job: 27.6 Mile Controlled-Access, Extension of State Highway 121
Contract Amount: $153 Million (2 Contracts)
Duration: 2011 to 2014

Client: North Texas Toll Authority
NTTA contracted TSC to construct two major segments of the Chisholm Trail Parkway (CTP). The complex, heavy-transportation project included construction of the I20 interchange and Sections 3b and 5 including about 6 miles of highway from Dirks Road to FM 1187.
This multilevel highway in the Dallas/Fort Worth area presented a mix of challenges and requirements: Grading, Drainage, Structures, Concrete Pavement, Mechanically-Stabilized Earthen (MSE) Retaining Walls, Illumination, Signs and Sign Structures, Pavement Markings, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Infrastructure, Landscaping, Irrigation, and continued Maintenance Services. A 12-bridge structure was the signature element in the complex project, and work was completed with highway traffic already using the transportation enhancements adjacent to TSC crews performing construction.
